L1MBIRD Andrew From: Sent: To: Cc: Subject: DRISCOLL Jon Friday, September 04, 2009 5:09 PM 'Ric Christian' L1MBIRD Andrew RE: traffic flow on Chan site Ric, This looks much better from a transportation viewpoint. room for a delivery/garbage truck to enter and exit the is cut in half, and there is room for delivery vehicles The one way traffic will give the site, the number of conflict points to load/unload. You might check with Sanipac to see if the trash enclosure would located better, as the front ,end loaders could not easily access it in this configuration. 'r, This is a significant, though not necessarily major, modification, so I have forwarded this on to planning and engineering. Have a good weekend. Sincerely, Jon Jon Driscoll EIT, PLS, WRE Transportation Engineer in Training City of Springfield, Public Works 22S Fifth Street Springfield, OR 97478 Phone: (S41) 726-3679 Fax: (541) 726-3781 idriscoll~ci.springfield.or.us -----Original Message----- , From: Ric Christian [mailto:ric@geomax.us] Sent: Friday, September 84, 2889 3:12 PM To: DRISCOLL Jon Subject: traffic flow on Chan site Jon: These are the changes we are proposing in order to allowable circulation on the Chan site for a 38' single unit truck. This will certainly be the largest vehicle on the site other than fire apparatus. No change is proposed for the fire apparatus hammerhead turn around. This plan is based on AASHTO Exhibit 2-4, A Guide for Highway and Street Design. I have changed the size and configuration of the building slightly to accommodate traffic flow. I would also like to move the trash pick-up to the rear of the lot. The delivery spaces are eliminated due to the loading area at the rear of the building. Please let me know if this meets with your satisfaction so I can change the site and grading plans. oIJ. / RIG- c.HIlJ'i."M 1, . '. h~,,"\L-4-f/""" Planner: AL . .
