Thank you for notifying the Oregon Department of Transportation regarding the attached Site
Plan Review for construction of an 11,000 SF warehouse with six (6) commercial spaces..

It appears Kit & Karen Chan are proposing to close two existing driveways and to replace them
with sidewalk to match the current walk within the state highway right of way. In addition,
they are proposing to build a new 32-foot wide driveway onto Main Street, also known as the
McKenzie Highway #15, OR126.
As a minimum the Department will require the submission of an Application for State Highway
Approach through the ODOT District 5 Maintenance Office in Springfield. The point of
contact is Lynn Detering, Senior Permit Specialist, at telephone number 503-726-2577.
Through its approach application review process ODOT will determine if the application can be
approved, and if so identify any mitigation associated with the application approval and any
permitted work (construction of the new driveway, sidewalk, etc.). .
Please share with Kit & Karen Chan that if they own adjoining properties to lot 7401, such as lot
6900 or 7600, ODOT normally allows only one driveway to serve both or all adjoining properties
under their ownership. If this scenario exits a revised site plan will be required to show only
one driveway serving all of the lots, the removal of all other curb-cuts, and any new sidewalk
replacement.
