Westwind Estates is a 101 lot subdivision that was tentatively approved on December 23, 2005.
The applicant had two years from that date to submit a final subdivision plat.
The project was moving forward but due to a change in ownership and difficulty securing
bonding for the Public Improvement Project, a time extension was needed. A pre-submittal
meeting was held on May 13, 2008, and a time extension was approved to allow the applicant
180 days to submit a complete final plat application. The new deadline was November 5, 2008.
Because ownership of the project has changed again, the time extension is amended to allow the
new owner to take full advantage of SDC 5.12-140, which allows a two year time extension. The
new deadline is December 23, 2009. A complete final plat application must be submitted by
that date. Refer to SDC 5.12-140(B) for the final plat requirements.
