Folks,
I would like to let you know that it has been determined that the City of Springfield will (as of this date) accept 80nding
as surety for the Post Monumentation Deposit. As you know, this hasn't been a policy in the past, but after much
discussion and research the City has decided to expand on the policy.
The Post Monumentation Deposit Bonding will work much as does the other Bonding for the Public Works Department:
o The Bond amount required is 110% of the cost of the post monumentation deposit.
o The TECH FEE amount is required to be paid at the time of final plat submittal, in the form of cash, check or
credit card.
o The TECH FEE amount is determined as S% of the post monumentation deposit.
o The standard Public Improvement Project Performance Bond form will be used, and I have attached a copy as
we would like it filled out. This form is also available on the City website.
I have attached copies of the Post Monumentation Deposit form and the Public Improvement Project Performance Bond
form for your use.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me or Dennis Ernst (726-2095), City Surveyor.
I look forward to accepting the final plat application packet, and helping complete the acceptance and plat recording
process. I do have part of this packet as separately submitted on December 10, the plat mylars and a paper copy. Please
note that I will be out of the office from December 21- January 1, and during this time Dennis will be available to intake
the remainder of the application packet.

Attached are Peggy's comments (from the County Surveyor's office) for this submittal and she just found a couple minor
things still to correct. The City doesn't have any additional comments regarding this plat. Thank you for the excellent
job in addressing all of our concerns.
When you have addressed the final comments, you may submit the final plat and documents to the City.
Here is a quick rundown of what is required for submittal: Forthe Final "Subdivision Plat Submittal" please include the
Planning "Land Division Plat" application form and planning fees. The plat and all original documents as required per the
Staff Report and Decision (signed and ready for recording) are submitted as well as a single set of copies. Also the Post
Monument Deposit form and cash deposit are submitted. You can also review the checklist on the "Land Division Plat"
application. I have attached a copy.
