Aaron,
Here are the answers to your questions:
. It was previously thought a permit was not needed so approval on ODOT letterhead would have been sufficient.
Since ODOT requires a permit, then a copy of the approved permit is needed.
. The driveway doesn't need to be paved all the way to the back parcel. It will be sufficient to pave it 12' wide and
18' back from the edge of the right ofway.
. If the water and sanitary sewer lines are extended to the back lot, they do not have to be hooked up to the
public system. That can occur at the building permit stage.
Also, the deadline for submitting the final plat application, the fees and mylars is June 2.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Steve

Hello,
This e-mail is in regard to Condition of Approval #2. I have been in contact with Aaron Ketch, ODOT, in regard to written
approval from ODOT. Attached is a copy of the written approval obtained.
Per a telephone conversation with Aaron Ketch, I was also informed that when the weep hole is constructed a portion of
the curbing will be required to be replaced. That portion could be an entire segment; however, if the curbing was
construction continuously then a segment approximately 8-10 feet would be expected to be replaced.
Steve, please confirm that this satisfies Condition of Approval #2.
Additionally, there are still a couple questions in regard to the driveway and water meters.
1) In regard to the driveway. Could just the approach be constructed now, with the remainder of the driveway being
. completed at such a time as a building permit is requested for the vacant parcel? I know there were concerns in regard to
service vehicles being able to access the public facilities behind the existing house, however, as the property owners
stated at the pre-submittal meeting, the public facilities had recently been serviced and the vehicles were able to access
the area in its present condition. Therefore, if the primary concern is accessibility, then there shouldn't be a problem.
2) In regard to the water meter. Does the water meter have to be connected, or just the service line installed and
capped. When the meter is connected, a $12.00 per month charge is billed. The property owners do not know when they
will build on the parcel and it seems very unpractical to accrue bills for no reason.
I look forward to hearing from you, as the property owners are too.
