I spoke with Bo Miller, ODOT hydraulics engineer on October 7, 2009. Due to
the fact that it is less than 1/2 cfs, he is not concerned with the amount of water
but agrees with City of Springfield that it goes into a rain garden first and only the
overflow to the curb.
At present, ODOT does allow the use of weep holes in curb. If one is not present
at this time, the property owner will have to remove existing curb and gutter from
seam to seam and replace to current ODOT standards at that time. The property
owner is to obtain an ODOT permit prior to the beginning of any work.
