The City received a complaint that the property listed above is in violation of a Springfield City Code andlor ordinance. Rather than
issuing a citation or taking immediate legal action, it is the City's standard practice to inform citizens of the violation and request that it
be corrected.

SPECIFIC VIOLATION: Section 5.002(1 )(4); 4.410&4.416 of the Springfield City Code. Improper storage and removal of dead organic
matter and debris. Used materials. The city received a complaint about items stacked in front of and behind a green tarp. The
Nuisance Ordinance provisions include the entire property.

REQUIRED CORRECTION:
. Dead Oroanic Matter and Debris. Dead organic matter and debris must be stored in covered leak proof containers (garbage
can with lid) and be removed a minimum of once every seven (7) days.
. Used Materials. Waste, debris or discarded items, used building supplies, tires, cartons, paper, scrap, junk, used fumiture,
plumbing or electrical supplies, appliances and barrels, vehicle engine and body parts, lumber, used wood, pallets, or
materials that are stockpiled for the purpose of recycling which are visible from public view. The stored materials shall be
considered visible unless within a legally permitted building that is wholly or entirely enclosed except doors for use for ingress
and egress or unless it is in connection with a business enterprise, lawfully licensed by the city, and property operated in the
appropriate business zone, pursuant to the development code.
In order to avoid actions being taken against you or your property we encourage you to proceed quickly. In the event that you have not
taken corrective action by the assigned time deadline, a civil infraction citation will be issued to the resident andlor property owner. Civil
Infraction fines: $500.00 first offensel$10oo.oo second offense. Each day a violation continues constitutes a separate offense and
citations can be issued daily.
. DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE: Seven (7) days from the date of this notice. .
