Tree Maintenance & Removal
John: I visited the site earlier this afternoon and took a few pictures of the damaged tree that fell across the sidewalk on
Harlow Road and the unhealthy tree at the'other end of the planter area near the east driveway entrance. Based on the
observations of Greg Ferschweiler and today's site visit, my recommendation is that The Pointe Condominium
Association should: 1) remove the broken trunk and the second unstable trunk (identified with blue flagging tape) of the
, shore pine at the west end of the planter area; and 2) remove the unhealthy shore pine (identified with blue flagging
tape) at the east end of the planter area. Staff advises that, because the two trees overhang the public sidewalk, the
requested tree cutting is for hazard removal purposes and therefore a tree felling permit is not required. 'It is my
understanding that only the two identified hazard trees are requested to be removed at this time. If you have any
