NOTICE OF DECISION SPRINGFIELD PLANNING COMMISSION DATE OF DECISION: May 21, 2010 May 18, 2010 ZON2010-00003 DATE OF NOTICE: CASE NUMBER: APPLICANT: Brownfields Land & Development NATURE OF APPLICATION: Approval of a Zoning Map amendment from LMI (Light Medium Industrial) to HI (Heavy Industrial). The subject property is located at 945 28th Street, (Assessor's Map and lot numbers 170231001000; 170231001100; 170231001101; 1702310002300). The application was initiated and submitted in accordance with Section 5.22-100 of the Springfield Development Code, and accepted on March 8, 2010. The Springfield Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 18, 2010 on the request to approve a Zoning Map amendment. The Development Services Department notes, staff report (refer to criteria SDC 5.22-115) and recommendation together with testimony and submittal of the persons testifying at the hearing were considered and made part of the record of the proceeding. DECISION: The Springfield Planning Commission voted 3-1, with one abstention, to approve the zone change. APPEAL: The applicant or any party with standing may appeal this decision to the City Council:. The appeal must be submitted to the Development Services Department, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, OR 97477, within 15 days of the Planning Commission's decision. The appeal must be in accordance with the Springfield Development Code Section 5.3-100, Appeals. The appeal must be submitted on a City form and a fee of $2,322 must be paid with the submittel1. The fee will be returned to the appellant only if the City Council approves the Appeal Application.
