Dear Mr. Shores:,
'This letter is regarding the question you had about the drainage ditch
behind your property at 5053 Daisy Street.
Enclosed are the Planning Commission minutes concerning your area in which
a Planned Unit Development was coristructed'by Steve and Stan Smith. As
indic~ted in the enclosure, no requirements for fencing this ditch were
made by the members of the Planning Commission; perhaps the proposed fencing
of the backyards abutting the ditch may have been a factor involved in
their decision.

Although I can sympathize with your problem, I do not feel that the City
can require the developer to fence off the ditch at this time. If some of
your other neighbors are concerned about the safety of their children,
perhaps you can meet with them and present your feelings to the developer
himself or to the Planning Commission.
