OR 97401 RE: r8'S61%6sp~Or.;::Site/SoilslCompaction - W.O. # 13223-RDR ()()~ 13 ~J -tJ / A site Isoils investigation was performed on October 3,2000, at 33562 Osprey Drive. A copy of the excavation and foundation requirements for Ambfeside Meadows Subdivision, 1 stAddition. was made available and has been reviewed. Approximately 24" of expansive clay material was encountered during the field inspection. The site is to be excavated through the expansive material to the non-expansive decomposed ash or sandstone material. The site cuts are to be sloped to a common low paint so water will not collect. ) underneath the proposed foundation. A maximum of 4" of crushed rock should be installed with tracked excavation equipment to protect the site during inclimate weather. In areas where additional crushed rock is required to attain grade the rock shall be placed with tracked excavation equipment and compacted with a vibratory plate or roller, The foundation drainage system per the City of Springfield's specifications are adequate for this site and may be instal/ed later in the project without jeopardizing soil stability. No special footing or stemwall reinforcement is required by site conditions 'on this project. Refer to the approved construCtion documents not reviewed by Mortier Engineering for foundation reinforcement placement. On October 12. 2000. a compaction inspection was performed afterfiJl placement. The compacted surface of the 3/4" minus crushed rock is adequate to support a conventional wood framed residence with a standard foundation per the 2000 State of Oregon One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code as adopted per the local jurisdiction, The compaction of the gravel surface is greater than 95% of a standard proctor per A TM 0698-91.
