Item 1: we should use the "or upon acceptance by the state" language in the staff report and ordinance and be ready for
q uestions;-)
Item 2: The language accounts for the surveying degrees that can create minute gaps in anything and should be used
generically in all of our descriptions or in the ordinance so we don't have to go back if DOR or future refinements in
technology find a sliver;-)

You're right, it might be too close to the election for it to go through, But, the ordinance does mention 30 days after
second reading and adoption by Councilor acceptance by the State, whichever is later. I'll check on the closing the gap
language - right now the City limits are along the west boundary so hopefully there shouldn't be any gaps in the legal
description, but you never known.

Andy,
Two questions:
1) Do we have the intent statement in the description to the effect that we intend to close all gaps between the
existing city limits and the annexation area? I couldn't find it?
2) Should the effective date discussion of the staff report and ordinance reflect the fact that there is a bond
election pending? We may need to review that part of the code.
That's it, let me know your thoughts and/or revisions before it goes up.

AIS, staff report and attachments are ready for review here: S:\AIS\2010-Council\2010-0l-19\RS DSD 19th Street

I haven't received an edited/stamped copy of the ordinance back from CAO yet, so only the draft version is in the folder
right now.
