RE: A3 Pro Forma for Mural, DRC2008-00018
Dear Molly,
As requested, we are submitting this pro forma for the mural project to demonstrate that the
school district intends to comply with the Site Plan Review requirements outlined in your letter,
with the decision issue date of April 14th, 2008.
,
The A3 school will hire an instructor who will oversee the design and installation of the mural.
The instructor will teach a class during the 2008-2009 academic year which will provide
instruction on the design and application of murals. The students will then participate in the
design process. In June 2009, the instructor and students will begin painting the mural, to be
completed by October 2009. The instructor will be chosen based on qualifications to teach, as
well as the technical experience to successfully complete the work outlined.
The cost of the mural will be substantiated based on the following criteria
Salary of instructor responsible for design and installation
Cost of paint materials, scaffolding, tarps, brushes and other consumable items
Assumed pay rate per student per hour, multiplied by the time to paint the mural
The design of the mural will happen during the 2008-2009 school year. Installation of the mural
. will begin June 2009 and be completed by October 2009. As work on the mural will be part of
formal coursework, arrangements will be made with student's schedules to ensure that work on
the mural proceeds throughout the summer and early fall of the semester. .
The mural will be a minimum of 37'-4" long, and will be a minimum of 317 square feet.
Please .call me if you have any questions or require addi~onal information. Thank you for your
attention to these tters.
Sincerely,
Kevin Spahn
