RE: Tree replanting project at The Pointe condominiums
Mr. Mullen
Thank you for the nice words about Andy. I have forwarded your e-mail to our city manager and department heads as
well. It is rare when I receive a nice e-mail that I received from you, so I want to make sure our leadership has an
opportunity to view.
Respectfully
Sid Leiken
Mayor

Mr Mayor:
My name is John Mullen and I am Chairman of the Board of Directors here at The Pointe. Before I was
recently elected to that position I had the pleasure of working with Andy Limbird to accomplish the goals
of both the City of Springfield and The Pointe Homeowners Association. Things got off to a most difficult
start as the Board, at the time of the tree removal, was unaware of permit requirements as was the
contractor that was hired to remove several old trees.
Andy repeatedly made himself available and answered all of our questions and offered suggestions when
he was asked. I couldn't have been more pleased.
You can be sure that from this point forward that any contract I sign will have a provision that the
contractor will be responsible for obtaining all of the City required permits.
It seems that in this day and age that all we ever hear are complaints and I wanted to change that by
letting you know how pleased we were with the service Andy provided.
Sincerely,
John Mullen, Chairman

RE: Tree replanting project at The Pointe condominiums
Thanks for complimenting Andy, John. He is one of this department's brightest and best. Our goal with compliance
issues is always to try and get to "yes." I'm glad this worked out, and for several reasons that must be obvious. By the
way, the new trees look splendid.

Thanks for the compliments John. Even though to me it's "all in a day's work", it is still very much appreciated. Feel free
to contact me at any time if you have questions about other planned projects for The Pointe.
Best Regards,
Andy Limbird
