ELECTRICAL GROUNDING REQUIRED IN NEW FOUNDATIONS: Where electrical services are installed on garages or other accessory buildings for Manufactured Homes - On new construction, a #4 concrete reinforcing-bar electrode at least 20' in length shall be installed horizontally at or - near the bottom of the concrete footing at the location of permanent service entrance. A second bar, at least 1/2 in diameter, shall be stubbed up a minimum of 12 inches above the floor plate line near the service entrance panel location. The stubbed up rod or bar shall bend horizontally and attach to the reinforcing bar electrode with a minimum 12" lap. (403.4, NEC 250,~82 (C) . INSPECTION OF THE GROUNDING ELECTRODE SYSTEM INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO PLACING OF CONCRETE FOR THE FOUNDATION 3. Provide 1/2" diameter steel bolts embedded at least 7" into concrete and 15" into reinforced grouted masonry. Maximum spacing shall be 6'-0" on center with a'minimum of two bolts per piece of plate or sill, and 1 bolt within 12" of each end. Metal truss ties (Hurricane clips) shall be used to connect the trusses to all bearing walls and supporting members, Trusses shall be fastened to non-bearing walls using approved "slip clips" which, allow the truss vertical movement independent of the wall, (Table 802.12) . Roofing materials: a) Wood shakes shall' comply with (R-909). b) Wood shingles shall comply with (R-908) c) Composition shingles shall comply with (R-903) d) Metal roofing shall comply with (R-905). e) Tile, clay or concrete roofing shall comply with (R-906). f) Built-up roofs shall comply with (R-907). g) slate shingles shall comply with (R-904), NOTE: Composition shingles installed on roofs having slopes between 2: 12 and 4: 12 shall be provided with two layers of #15 felt installed shingle fashion under the roof covering. 11. Roof storm drains shall be provided to capture roof drainage. Storm drainage shall be piped to an approved drainage way. Drain lines within five feet of buildings shall consist of a material approved for use within buildings, such as ABS/DWV or PVC/DWV. Perforated drain lines used for sub surface drainage need not comply with this requirement. (R-801.3) . 12.
