The fill consists of a layer of 3-inch open graded quarl'j stone, capped with approximately 4-inches of %-inch minus, dense graded aggregate. The thickness of the 'J.-inch aggregate on the foundation pad did not exceed 4-inches. Therefore, we could not accurately measure the in-place density.
