DRC2008-00024 - Springfield Justice Center Site Mod
Due to the unique nature of this application, Transportation Division review comments are being
provided in a narrative format as opposed to the usual "findings and recommended conditions"
format. Please advise if we may provide additional comment or clarification.
Site Access and Circulation
j 1) Design details for the revised intersection of 4th/'B' Street and Parkway East /'B' Street
J will require review and approval by the City Engineer.
2) New driveways onto Pioneer Parkway East will require aDaT Access Permits
(previously noted regarding original site plan).
3) Analysis performed by Transportation Division staff indicates that driveway access and
parking lot circulation will be severely constrained for vehicles larger that standard
j' passenger cars. In the final site plan submittal should confirm that Springfield Police
Department is confident that proposed designs will meet the needs of vehicle types that
are anticipated to use the lot.
Transportation Facilities and Impacts

Existing streets abutting the development site are constructed to city standards.
Modifications to those facilities will require plan review and approval by the City
Engineer, and/or aDaT if on Pioneer Parkway East.
The previously submitted Traffic Impact Studies prepared by Access Engineering for
earlier applications have demonstrated that significantly affected streets and intersections
would operate at acceptable levels of service with construction of the proposed site plan
modification.
