Robert From: LIMBIRD Andrew Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 3:46 PM To: POLSTON Jim Cc: CASTILE Robert Subject: Jail Final Site Inspection Jim: I completed the final site inspection for the south half of the Justice Center site, specifically the new jail construction and streetside landscaping. Planning has deemed the inspection satisfactory and okays issuance of final occupancy by the City's Building Inspector. A couple items were noted during the inspection and I'm passing these along for your information and further action, as necessary. 1. There is a broken street tree stake on the Pioneer Parkway East frontage of the site, specifically the third tree north of A Street (see attached picture). 2. As discussed, the SUB vault installed along the west side of the jail building shall be covered with bark mulch consistent with the rest of the planting strip along Pioneer Parkway East. 3. The four Camellia sasanqua (Yuletide Camellia) shrubs planted along the east face of the jail building shall be monitored for growth and crown spread toensure they fill in the vacant portion ofthe shrub bed. In the event. that the shrubs do not expand horizontally into the available area with a couple growing seasons, supplementary groundcover orshrub plants are recommended to fill the noticeable gaps in the planting bed. If you have any questions, please email or call me at x3784. Thanks Andy 1 Date Received: Planner: AL 11-/6/)001 /
