To give consent for a particular piece of property, persons who own an interest in the property, or who are purchasers of property on a contract sale that is recorded with the county, must sign the annexation petition. Generally, this means that both husband and wife should sign. In the case of a corporation or business, the person who is authorized to sign legal documents for the firm may sign the annexation petition. Please provide evidence of such authorization.
