RESOLUTION
No. 07-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD
ADOPTING AN AMENDED MASTER SCHEDULE OF MISCELLANEOUS FEES AND
CHARGES, RATES, PERMITS, AND LICENSES.
WHEREAS, the City has authority pursuant to section 4 of the 200 1 Springfield Charter and
Oregon Revised Statutes to establish fees and charges based on costs for specific services rendered; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Master Schedule maintains all rates, permit fees, license fees, and other
fees and charges at their previous rates except for Development Code Applications Fees increased as
specified below; and
WHEREAS, the opportunity for public comment at a public hearing has been provided prior to the
adoption of this Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Springfield as follows:
1.) The additions to the City of Springfield Master Schedule of Miscel!aneous Fees and Charges,
Rates, Permits and Licenses as more particularly described and set forth in Exhibit 1, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference is hereby adopted.
2.) Except as specifically amended in Section 1 above, all other rates, permit fees, license fees and
other fees and charges for the City of Springfield Master Schedule of Miscellaneous Fees and Charges,
Rates, Permits and Licenses shall remain in full force and effect.
3.) Future Resolutions ofthe Common Council may be adopted to amend, add, or delete any rate,
permit fee, license fee, or other fee or charge.
4.) In the event any rate, permit fee, license fee, fee or charge specified in the Master Schedule of
Miscellaneous Fees and Charges, Rates, Permits and Licenses should be held invalid by operation of law
or any court of competent jurisdiction or the enforcement of any fee restrained by such court pending the
final determination as to its validity, the remainder of the rates, permit fees, license fees, fees and charges
specified in the Master Schedule of Miscellaneous Fees and Charges, Rates, Permits and Licenses shall
not be affected thereby and shall remain in full force and effect.
5.) This Resolution shall take effect on the pt day ofJu1y, 2007.
This Resolution adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this 18th of June, 2007, by a
vote of 5 for and ~ against. .

Referral to Fire Marshal's Office: $60. If
referral inspection exceeds 1 hour an
additional $15 for every 15 minute portion (or
part thereof) of reinspection time in excess of
1 hour.
Fire Protection and Life Safety System
Permits:
3% of the total valuation of the work to be
performed for the system up to a system's
contract value of $50,000,
Then: $3.00 for each additional valuation of
$1000 or portion thereof.
Minimum charge shall be no less than $120.
Additional staff time for work performed in
excess of 2 hours: An additional $15 for every
15 minute portion (or part thereof)
The above formula will be applied to
calculate fees for permits adopted in the
City of Springfield 2007 Fire Code:
105.7.1 Automatic fire extinguishing systems
and appurtenances
105.7.1.1 Fire Suppression Sprinkler
systems.
