Jon: In the Community Commercial district there is no minimum side yard setback for adjoining commerciallDts. SD, in
theDry, the building wall could abut the property line if there were nD Dpenings in the wall (doDrs or windows). The
building alsD could abut the driveway surface, but from a practical standpDint it wDuld be wise tD have a curb Dr
sufficient driveway width tD ensure passing vehicles dD nDt strike the building. If they plan Dn having a rear dDDr
opening (emergency exit, employee entrance, etc.) they would need tD have a sidewalk along the rear Df the building
with at least 5 feet of separation to the edge Df curb tD allDw for a dODr to open fully. I think we encountered a similar
situatiDn for the front dDor openings at 1815 Main Street, but I dDn't remember the minimum sidewalk dimension
needed to meet ADA standards.
