delenTIlne the slnJctUral elements need \0 replace 15'-8" of bearing wall In the kitchen. The bearing
wan may be removed and replaced with a post and be8ll1 system if:
. A 5-1/8" x9" 24F-V4 glulam beam Is added \0 support the roof members rormerly supported by the
wall.
. The glulam beam is supported at each end by a column composed of (3) 2J<6 studs. The sluds
shall be s1stered together with lad nails @ 24" o,c. on each side (stagger sides). The columns
shall extend an the way down \0 the stem wall.
. The blocking between roof members shall be attached \0 the beam with Simpson LS30 3124" o.c
. The beam shall be connected \0 the columns IMIh Simpson ECCQ5-6SDS2.5.
. The columns shall be connected to the stem wall with e Simpson ABE44 connector and a liten HD
W die, x 4" &:reN anchor.
. The foundation requires no changes at this time.
. The con\laCIllr is responsible for temporary shoring and bracing,
