Dear Mr. Bettesworth:
We understand that Lots 27 and 28 have recently been prepared to construct new
residential foundations. OGO conducted a review of site conditions and available data
at the site with our conclusions summarized in our letter dated January 20,20101 Since
our initial work at the site, we understand that the foundation areas at Lot 27 and 28
have been excavated :t20 inches or greater to expose firm, on-site structural fill
materials. The exposed soil was then covered with a leveling course of :t2 inches of
crushed rock to provide a working surface. Field density testing of the crushed rock
surfacing is not practical due to the limited thickness.
Based on our previous observations and understanding of the recent minor excavation
work, we believe that the site is adequate for residential development using an
allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf or less. It has been a pleasure assisting you
