Or. September 16, 1998, an 'inspection by Mortier Engineering, P.C. was made at the above site to
determine how to fill a trench dug for piping and undercutting the footing.
It was decided to place controlled low strength material (CLSM), a low strength cemcntitous
~~..:..~lled density fill in leu of compacted 3/4" - rock, into the trench making sure there was a 1: I
slope at the ends of the trench. ^ representative from Mortier EnginecriDg, P.C. was present prior
to and dtaingthe filling ofthc trench on September 24, 1998 to verify the slope and that the trench
was free' of dcbree.
The CLSM was installed pa- Mortier Engineering, P.C. specifications and is adequate to support the
loads applied on the bearing soils of 1000 psf.
