The developer proposes to create a mixed of uses on the site consisting ofa 3500-400 square feet Veteran's Service kd Community Center with 50-60 affordable housing for veterans-both individuals and families. Rental housing would be a mixture of 1,2 and;3-bedroom units with an' emphasis on family units, most likely in townhouse configuration with shared parking courts. The following comments and questions arein response to the applicant's questions. 1. Planning will respond to this question. 2. Planning will respond to this question. 3. Is the continuation for Lochaven Ave. as a pulbic street (and thus a ROW! dedication) required to develop the parcel? Answer: The street is not presently on the Conc~ptuallocal stJ'eet , 'L plan. It is presently the Transportation StaWs view that Lochaven " being extended straight through would add undo added traffici'to your development as well as add a conflict point to Laura at an undesirable location. The alignment is not as safe as it would be if it made :i. full intersection with the private road. that opposes this prop~rty el1,st of Laura Street. Ideally, we would like to see no access to Laura Street, but this is without seeing a TIA or an estimate on how many trips the site expects to generate. 4. Are.there any existing or additional ROW dedications or easements required along Laura Street or through the site? Answer: No. 5. Engineering will respond to this question. Questions for c f,VDf · How many trips so you expect the site to generate? . · Do you want to connect with Laura Street? if so, speed bumps and drive alignment , should greatly discourage through traffic. .
