(GENERAL)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2, "STRUCTURAL SPECIALTY CODE AND FIRE AND
LIFE SAFETY CODES" OF THE SPRINGFIELD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND
COMMUNITY SERVICES DIVISION "BUILDING SAFETY CODES." AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:
Article 2 of the Springfield Development Services Department
Community Services Division "Building Safety Codes" is hereby
amended to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2
STRUCTURAL SPECIALTY CODE
Oregon State Structural Specialty Code - Adopted. Except as may
be hereinafter modified by this Article, the Oregon State
Structural Specialty Code, 1993 Edition, Except Chapters 1, 2,
and 3 thereof, and including Appendix Chapters 11 and 12
(Division I) 23, 26, 29, 32, 35, 49, 55, and 70 is adopted and
by reference incorporated into and made a part of these Codes.
The foregoing shall constitute the Structural Specialty Code of
the City.
Section 2:
It is hereby found and determined that matters pertaining to
structural safety are matters affecting the public health,
safety and welfare and that an emergency therefore exists,
and that this Ordinance shall therefore take effect
immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by
the Mayor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this 5th day
of April , 1993, by a vote of 6 for and 0 against.
