Dear Mr. r-tlore:
The following information is furnished in response to the referenced note:
Attachment Number 1,2, and 3 provide general information concerning the
installation.
Attachments Number 4 amd 5 covers ventilation requirements.
Since the volume of the service center, 196,700 cubic feet, is not less than
1/20 of the combined input rate in BTU/HR, (6 units @ 60,000 = 360,000 BTU/HR)
provisions to supply deficiency in combustion air is not required per Uniform
Mechanical Code Sec. 601 (b).
The heater manufuacture's combustion air requirement is 1.83 CFM per 10,000
BTU/HR plus 12xl.83 CFM at the CFM at the initial inlet at each radiant
heating branch line. In our installation we have 6 burners at 60,000 BTU/HR
plus 2 end inlets which requires a total of 109.8 CFM. The vacuum pump has
adequate capacity to provide this.
