Dear Mr. Schpankyn:
On November 24, 1980 you applied for a building permit for the construction
of a shed on the rear of your property. As you are aware the shed was built
without permits and violates the City of Springfie1ds Zoning Code.
This is to inform you that unless you pick up your permits and pay applicable
permit fees within S days of receipt of this letter and start removal of that
portion of the structure that violates the codes immediate1y,the matter will
be turned over to the City Attorney for further action.
If you still wish to appear before the Board of Appeals, you must make appli-
cation within five (5) days of receipt of this letter.

SUBJECT: Building Located On Lot At 1465
Oksanna Street
Dear Sir:
You and your client are correct in your assumptions that the subject building
was built without permits and inspections and does not meet the setback re-
quirements outlined in the City's Zoning Code, For this reason, we greatly
appreciate the fact that your client brought this matter to our attention.
Please advise your client that the Building Division is treating the subject
violations in the same manner, and with the same respect for legal due process,
in which all similar violations are treated. Briefly, this means that the owner
of the Oksanna Street property has been contacted, informed of the violations,
and requested to correct them within a specified period of time. If compliance
is not obtained within the time specified, the matter will be turned over to the
City Attorney's Office for appropriate legal action.
Although the above described process sometimes extends beyond the patience or
understanding of the public, we have been advised that it is the appropriate
course to take. As an attorney, I trust that you can be of some help in ex-
plaining this .to your client.
In the present case, the owner of the Oksanna Street property nas expressed a
willingness to cooperate. As such, I expect the problem will be resolved in the
near future.
