The installation comprises a short run with one joint at each end of the CSST piping. I personally have thoroughly inspected the pipe and 'tested both joints with soapy water twice. No leaks could be detected and I am confident that the installation is secure, tight, leak proof and is in accordance with OMSC Sections C406. 1. 1 and C406d.2. I commend you for the initial hesitation of allowing me to certify the testing of this system, regardless of my credentials, as well as the common sense approach that was finally agreed upon, The flexibility extended should in no way be construed as any form of breech of duty or political in nature. You simply allowed an alternate method of assuring complete and total code compliance in a "think outside the box" fashion that can certainly be an asset to the City of Springfield as well as the City Building Official. Yours in Building Safety, Jason Bush, C.B.O. Building Official City of Lebanon 541) 258-4258 0Vl L/ (2- '-I 0 9
