The permit was issued on September 2, 1980. The 1979 Oregon State 8uilding Code, Section 303 (d), explains that any building permit for which work is not started within 180 days of issuance, or if work is suspended for a period of 180 days, the building permit shall expire by limitation and become null and void. If conditions beyond your control have prevented you from proceeding on this project, please submit a letter stating the circumstances and if conditions warrant the 8uilding Official may extend your application for a specified period of time. If this building permit is allowed to expire, it will be necessary to obtain a new building permit and a permit fee amounting to one-half of the original permit fee for such work will be due. If we do not hear from you within the next ten days we will assume that you have cancelled this project and we will clear our files of all related material. If you have any questions concerning this matter call the Springfield 8uilding Division at 726-3753.
