The Transportation Division has reviewed the materials provided with the subject application.
The cOrnrI1ents below are provided for your use in preparing the land-use decision..
Pronosed,,site Access
Existing access to site parking is via. one or more driveways onto Main Street, and a 24-foot wide
driveway onto 'A' Street at the rear of the property. The Main Street access is'under ODOT
jurisdiction. The applicant has provided a copy of an "Application for State Highway Approach
for the Main Street access." .
On-Site Rarkinl!;
Scaled measurements of the submitted site plan drawing indicate that the one-way parking lot
. aisle serving the westerrimost (60-degree angled) parking bay is only 9.5 feet wide. This narrow
. width would make the angled parking spaces unusable if vehicles were parked in the middle bay
of spaces. For 60-degree angled parking a one-way aisle needs to be at east Ill-feet wide. SDC
Table 4.6~1. rfthe parking angled were changed to 45 degrees the aisle width could be reduced
to 12 feet.
Recommended Conditions:
1) Provide evidence of ODOT approval for the Main Street driveway access.
2) REivise parking lot striping to comply with SDC Table 4.6-1.
