Jeff,
. Here is the criteria and condition for the fence. If we delay the installation of this condition, then
they would just be placing the fence along the remaining portion of the frontage after the access
point is determined. Do we have an idea yet about how far back into the lot the paving will need
to be raised? I'm wondering how much it will impact the area of turnaround room for the parking
spaces in the front of the business. The majority of the parking is in the lot in the back of the
building with just 5 spaces in front.
Thanks. .
Liz

Good ri10ming Liz,

Can you send me a copy of the City's MDS approval. If we are successful in funding a sidewalk
project we could end up consolidating or moving access locations which might impact your
fencing requirements. The reconstruction will also likely require paving of a portion of the parking
lots to match the new sidewalk height
Thanks,
Jeff .

Hi Jeff:
Thank you for checking into ODOT funding on this project I'll inform the building inspector that
temporary occupancy of the space would be permitted if all the other Minimum Development
Standards on the site are met and installed. The only requirement that would interfere with the
constr!,clion of the sidewalk project is the decorative fence to be located immediately behind the
front property line (condition 1 of the decision). We could delay this condition also until ODOT
work is complete. The remaining conditions of the MDS are on the north side of the building and
would need to be completed' before temporary occupancy is issued. .
Thanks again for finding a solution to this unusual sidewalk situation.

Hi Liz",
ODOThas identified a need to reconstruct a short section of substandard sidewalk in front of
2422 Main Street and its immediate abutting neighbor properties. The District Office is currently
pursuing ODOT funding for this small project. If this sidewalk project is approved, it could take
several months to implement and construct.
ODOT"is currently processing an approach application for 2422 Main Street and our preliminary
research indicates that we will likely approve a single approach to Main. Street serving this
property. If agreement between the 2422 Main Street property representative is reached and the
. ODOT, project is'funded, would the City desire to issue an occupancy permit to allow the business
to open prior to sidewalk completion? I believe ODOT would likely agree to this direction if the
City is in agreement.
Thanks,
