A meeting was11held in the District 5 conference room on 07/17/08. Attending the meeting was Jamie Hollenbeak,
Lynn Stuckrathi Jeffrey Lange, Liz Miller, Mitch Hanan, Dan Rocke and Seth SanFilippo. Dan and Seth are the
business owners. on both sides of the applicant and were present for information purposes.
Jamie said that the City A' Street is not reasonable to serve the. tavern business site due to the existing building
footprint and th~refore a single approach to the State Highway serving this propertyWill be approvable.
The applicant ~greed to withdraw his application for the most easterly approach and submit a new site plan to
ODOT. ODOTlwil1 try to process the application as quickly as possible to facilitate the applicants need for an
occupancy permit with the City.
ODOT convey~d to the applicant that any mitigation costs associated with the development are the responsibility
of the applicant. The applicant had concerns over how the sidewalk on his frontage would function if it was
constructed as!'a standard raised sidewalk design, this is due to the existing conditions and the lowered grade of
the property.
(FOLLOW UP jfO THE MEETING)
- I spoke with John Driscoll from the City and he will do additional research regarding the sidewalk issues
,
- The morning of 07/18/08 I was able to look at the site with the ODOT Roadway Designer for his input on how to
best address the sidewalk issues. My understanding ofa best fix option is that a lowered sidewalk should be
constructed with a max 2% grade towards the private property. This design would have the least impact to the
private properties.
- I also spoke '!lith the Assistant District Manager on 07/18/08 to.find out if there is an opportunity to fund a small
ADA project e~,compassing the three property frontages and L TD bus stop to fix the ADA issues. Ramona will
contact the ODOT Bike/Ped unit if this qualifies for a small ADA project
