Dear Mr. Siegrist.
At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made a occupancy
inspection on September 6, 1978, at 1567 Main Street pursuant to a request to use
this structure as a machine shop. '
The foll owi ng i terns mus t be compl eted before the buil di ng wi 11 qua 1 i fy as a B-2
occupancy (machine shop) under the Uniform Building Code:
,1. The east warl. ,~onstructed of concrete block. must have all the cells
filled with concrete. Number 4 re-bar must be installed 32 inches on
center in the wall.
2. , The roofing must be repaired or replaced.
3. Adequate ventilation must be provided.
4. A proposal must be submitted regarding changes in the electrical system.
The inspection and requirements pertain only to the smaller block building on the
east side of the property that is connected by a roof to the larger main structure.
Permits will be required prior to such time as work may begin. A Certificate of
Compliance will be issued when all work is completed"
