Dear Mr. Jones: We have reviewed your application and plot plan for attaching a Spiral Spuds food cart to an existing office building, adding drive-thru and two curb cuts for circulation, The City Transportation Planning Engineer accompanied me to view the site and discuss any issues, Our traffic division has determined that your proposal for adding curb cuts and driveway would create a hazardous situation. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Transportation Planning Engineer Masood Mirza at 726-4585 or Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) at 726.2552, Your existing parking area for the business offiee is not adequate to also provide any additional parking spaces for your food cart proposaL Springfield Development Code Article 18,070 states that in any case, not less than 4 off.street parking places shall be required in commercial districts, which is minimum for the existing business office use, One handicap space is also required, (I'he designated "handicapped" parking space is a 9-j1, space with an abutting access aisle at least 8 feet wide, as part of an accessible route to the building entrance.)
