RE: Sidewalk Repair at 1483 Main Street
Dear Mr. Crombie:
I'm writing with regard to your inquiry concerning the method of repair
for the sidewalk problem at 1483 Main Street, Your concern lies with
the risk of cutting the roots of the large old maple trees which line
the sidewalk in that block, '
After confering with Bob Barrett, City Engineer, it is suggested that
you replace the elevated sidewalk areas and when installing the new
p~rtions, gradually slope them so there is no elevation difference at
the sidewalk joints, .
For further information regarding the installation of the replacement
sidewalk, please contact Bob Barrett, City Engineer at 726-3753,
