MEETING WITH WALT CROMBY
Cliff Scott and I met with Mr. Cromby and an associate at the Woodsman
Restaurant in early November 1981.
Several options were discussed for repair of the sidewalks on Mr. Cromby's
property between 14th and 15th on the South side of Main Street. We arrived
at a consensus on a repair plan. Mr, Cromby's associate joined Cliff and me
for an onsite review of the plan, which will be carried out by Mr. Cromby or
his designee,
THE PLAN
1. Existing sidewalk will be removed,
2, Tree roots will be pruned sufficiently inboard to prevent damage to the basil
crown burls overgrowing existing sidewalks,
3. Root shields of plastic sheeting or copper screen will be installed in the
. root pruning ditches to a depth of 20 plus inches.
4, New sidewalks will be installed with the root shields indicating the
approximate street side edge of the sidewalks.
