A. ELECTRICAL
'\ 1. Discontinue use 01 extension cords in lieu of permanent wiring
2. Each outlet box shall have a cover laceplale or lidure canopy.
3 Maintain 30" clearance in Iront of electrtcal panel.
4 Malruain wiring in good condition and protect from damage
5 o.scontinue use of non.approved multi-plug adapters
B. EXITS
1. Remove unapproved locks or latches Irom exit doors
2. Unlock all exit doors during business hours.
3. Remove obstructions Irom exits. aisles. corridors. and stairways.
4 Remove obslfuchons from smoke doors and maintain to operate properly.
5. Repair or maintain exit door and hardware to operate properly.
C. EXIT LIGHTING
1. Maintain lighting for exit signs.
_ 2. Provide lighting for corridors. stairways, and exterior exitways.
_ 3. Exits shall be illuminated at al1 times the bulding is occupied.
D. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
1. . Provide _ extinguisher(S) of a minimum rating.
2. Mount extinguisher where readily available. with top not higher than 5 feel
3. Post signs indicating location where extinguishers are not readily visible.
4. Service and tag each extinguisher annually and atler use.
E. FIRE PROTECTION AND ALARM SYSTEMS
1. Maintain access to and operation of standpipes. fire hose. sprinkler valves. and fire hydrant(s).
2. Inspect and test sprinkler system and maintain records.
3. Identify sprinkler valves and standpipes and secure in open position.
4 Provide spare sprinklers (6 minimum) and sprinkler wrench.
S. Inspect and service hood and duct extinguishing system over cooking equipment.
6 Replace damaged. corroded. or painted sprinkler heads
7. Provide and maintain smoke detectors in proper operating condition.
e. Inspect and maintain lire alarm system and maintain records.
F. FIRE SEPARATIONS
1. Remove obstructions from fire doors and maintain to operate properly.
_ 2. Seal unapproved openings with approved material.
_ 3. Keep attic access and scuttle openings closed.
G. FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
1. Storage in excess 0110gal. Class l. II. or III-A liquids used lor maintenance and operation of equipment
1. shall be stored in approved storage cabinets.
2. Limit storage and disRlay 01 Class I. II. or Ill-A liquidS to allowable quantities.
3. Remove liquidS not slored in approved containers. ..
4 Remove flammable liquidS not used for main!. in assembly bldgs., offices. apts.. or motels.
S. Discontinue use of Class I liquids (gasoline. etc) for cleaning.
6. Store liquidS away from corridors, aisles. stairways. and exit. areas.
7. Discontinue dispensing from containers exceeding 5 gal. or provide pump taking sudion from top.
H. HOUSEKEEPING
1. Remove or store rubbish. waste material, oily rags in dosed metal containers.
_ 2. Clean grease filters and hood duct system over cooking appliance.
_ 3 Provide approved wasle containers for combustible waste.
I, STORAGE
1. Remove slorage Irom exilS. aisles. corridors. and under stairways. .
2. Arrange storage in orderly manner and provide for exiting and fire department access.
3 RemOlle storage to 18" below level of sprinkler (36" for storage piled over 12 feet high).
4. Reduce storage height to at least two leet below ceiling
5. Boiler. mechanical. and electrical panel rooms shall not be.used lor storage.
J, MISCELLANEOUS
1. Post and enforce No Smoking signs.
2. Provide address in such a position as to be visible and legible from the street fronting property.
3 Remove obstructions and provide access in fire lanes.
4. Secure all compressed gas cylinders in upright position with name 01 product
