RE: Proposed Sign
Dear Larry:
[ am returning your application for thc proposed addition of signage to the freestanding sign located at
1444 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon.
The existing sign exceeds the allowable height for a freestanding sign in a Commercial District and in
order to change the sign, or add to an existing non-conforming sign, the sign would need to be brought into
confonnance with the existing sign code. Commercial Sign Districts allow a freestanding sign, but the sign
cannot exceed 20 fcet in height The sign as shown is currently approximately 24 feet in height, which
prohibits me from authorizing a pennit for additional signage.
