RE: Courtesy Inspection at l295~ Main Street, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Property Owner:
At the request of the tenant, Chris Linville, the Springfield Building Safety Division
conducted a Courtesy Inspection at the above referenced address.
The following items do not meet the minimum standards of the Springfield Housing Code:
.l) The bathroom flooring has deteriorated due to excessive moisture leaking from
the metal stall shower.
2) Visual inspection of supporting structural members under the floor indicates dry
rot in sub flooring and floor joists.
The above conditions should be corrected as soon as possible as this could be a poten-
tially hazardous situation allowing the flooring to collapse. Your cooperation in
eliminating this potentially hazardous condition in an expedient manner will be appre-
ciated. I will check in 30 days to inspect your progress in complying with these cor-
rections.
A permit for the required structural repair may be obtained from the Building Division
of the Department of Public Works. Our office is located in the south east portion of
the Springfield City Hall, 225 North 5th Street, Springfield, Oregon.
