1. Should you decide to install a sign(s) advertising your business, the City of
Springfield requires you obtaln permits. Permit fees are based upon the
value of the sign(s) you propose to install. The City also has a Sign Code
which regulates the number an& size of signs you can have.
Please contact Sally Johnson for further information regarding signs.
2. The Building Safety Division can perform an Occupancy Inspection of your
building. This inspection is not required, however, is encouraged as the
inspectors will insure your structural, plumbin9, electrical and mechanical
systems meet the minimum requirements for your proposed use. There is a
$35.00 inspection fee.
3. Should you decide to make any structural, plumOing, electrical or mechanical
alterations or additions to the building, you shall be required to:
a. Apply for building related permits.
b. Apply for site plan review prior to suOmitting ouilding permits if you
decide to expand your Oui lding Oy 500 square feet or more.
