SUBJECT: Adult Book Store, 1124 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon
Relative to your request concerning sanitation conditions at the
Adult Book Store, located at the above referenced address, my Oc-
tober 15, 1981 visit revealed no apparent health problems. I did
not inspect the rear portion of the building; however, the front
interior and exterior portions of the building revealed no current
or potential health hazards.

RE: Zoning Violation at 1124 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon
An adult book store business may exist only by special permission of the Springfield
Planning Commission in the form of a Conditional Use Permit as specified in Article
25 of the Springfield Comprehensive Zoning Code (copy attached).
In order for your business to remain open, you must apply to the Planning Commission
by November 2, 1981 to be reviewed at the December 2, 1981 public hearing. Enclosed
is an application which may be submitted accompanied by a $120.00 fee to the Spring-
field Planning Department at 225 North 5th Street. If you do not apply by November
2, 1981, you will be required to close down the business on Nobember 3, 1981. No
other permits or approvals required to be obtained from the City will be granted un-
til the results of the December 2, 1981 Planning Commission meeting are known. Your
anticipated cooperation in this matter it appreciated. .
Please direct all inquiries to the Springfield Building Division at 726-3753 or the
Springfield Planning Department at 726-3759.
