Subject: The use of pennants within the City of Springfield
Dear Mr. Galloway,
Our office is aware that many auto dealers in the City use pennants to
advertise the presence of their business. This seems to be a fairly
common practice that has occurred for some time. None the less, the
City Council has stated that improving the appearance of the City is a
top priority. Section 9-7-19 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Springfield prohibits the use of pennants inside the City limits.
Please remove your pennants within thirty (30) days of receipt of this
letter to avoid possible municipal court proceedings of this violation.

office at your convenience.
