SUBJECT: ALLEY PAVING BEHIND CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN 1072 MAIN STREET

Dear Mr. Seese,
Due to upcoming sewer improvement projects in the alley and in Main Street
adjacent to your property, we are requesting that you reschedule your
required alley improvement completion date until October 31, 1987. This
rescheduling will result in lower costs and less complications for all
parties involved.
In lieu of Planning Commission review of this action, a Development
Agreement will be required. The Development Agreement will allow the
extension of the paving deadl ine until October 31, 1987, subject to
comp 1 i ance wi th a 11 other provi si ons of your Condi ti onal Use Pennit.
Please have your signature notarized and return the Development Agreement
to our office by July 14, 1986.

public hearing, approved a Special Use Permit for a Springfield Church of
at 1072-1096 Main Street, and required compliance with the following

3. Pave alley to east property line
4. Replace two mercury vapor lights with LPS lights
5. Motel must be used for non-lodging purposes until an occupancy

6. Members of the congregation will be requested not to use 11th Street for

B. The City of Springfield Planning Commission, on November 2, 1983, after
conducting a public hearing, approved a Request for Modification of Special Use Permit~,
S-83-07-27, Conditions #3 and #4 as follows:
3. Pave 175' of alley from Selco Credit Union to approximately the center
of church property by June 15, 1984. Pave remainder of alley to east
property line by June 15, 1986.
4. The church will not be required to replace the mercury vapor lights.
C. The Springfield Church of the Brethren agreed to all conditions, including
those amended, and their completion dates.
