Please clarify whether 1. this lobby will be heated and 2. if there are existing hoistway or elevator room smoke or heat detectors intertied to a building fire alarm system; if both 1. and 2. are implemented, please provide an elevator lobby smoke detector for firefighter recall and connect to the existing fire alarm system. 2007 NFPA 726.16.3.5. Plan Review CLAIR 7/7/2009 General Please clarify how ventilation for the new enclosure will be ~ovided. 2007 OS_SC. Section 1203.1 _ Enclosure area shall be naturally ventilated by the addition Bill Shaw/Berry 7/16/2009 of two operable sashes into the storefront system per Architects attached drawing A1.2R (hard copy to be submitted as Supplemental Information). Sashes shall be approx 7 s.f. each giving a total ventilation area of approx. 14 s.f., or 4% of the enclosure area of 348 s.f. The nature of the space is such that general use thereof is closely connected to operation of the exterior door, providing de facto ventilation to the space. The operable sashes will be used to augment this as deemed necessary.
