Type of Inspection: Soils Observation Weather: Cloudy
Field Observations and Comments
On site as requested to observe exposed subgrade soils for the proposed fire lane access road northeast of new schoof
building (see attached plan), Due to existing soil conditions being saturated and over optimum moisture, a proof roll
using a loaded truck was not performed, To assist us in determining the stability of the in-place soils, a soil probe was
used, Soil probe penetrations ranged in depth' from 6 to 8 inches indicating a relatively soft, unstable subgrade,
especially the surface which was wet and had some standing water, Recommended over excavating the area 4 inches
and placing geotextile fabric prior to placing crushed rock, The area measured approximately 116' to 20', Contractor
was asked to notify our office when additional services are needed, To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected
above was in accordance with the building department approved design drawings, specifications and applicable
workmanship provisions of the International BuildinQ Codes,
