2) Electrical: Any permit issued under this application will include wiring in ar on sign structura,
ene SUPpLY wires for connection must be covered on an electrical permit. Electrical connection
must be made only by a State Licensed Electrical Contractor. Illuminated signs (bath internally
and externally) must conform to Sections 9-7-4 (4) & (5) and 9-7-18 of the Springfield Sign Or-
dinance.
3) Plans Reauired: This application is to be submitted with CWa complete sets af plans showing di-
mensions and height of sign; advertising message on sign; location of sign on property with di-
. mens ions to property lines, structural details of support framing, bracing and footings; materials
af canstruction for sign and' sign structure; electrical equipment and lighting; size and location.

a). Show the location of. all' axisting' sign(s) as well as proposed sign(s).
b) Show the length af the street frantage taken up by the business or building. For wall
aigns, show the length af the building frontage.
c) Show the location of entrances apen to the public and driveways.
4) When required, because of design, size, etc., engineered drawings and calculations must be pre-
pared by a licensed engineer ar shall conform ta design standards on file at the Building Divi-
aian Office.
5) Plans of insufficient' clarity or detail will be returned to the applicant with no permit being
issued.
6) Signs must maet carner vision clearance raquiremants as described in Figure 9 of the Springfield
Co~rehensive.Zoning Code.
7) NOTE: No sign may be eracted which is less than 12 feet harizonta11y or vertically from'averhead
electrical conducccrs in excess of 750 volts. or les8 than 5 feet in any direction froe overhead
electrical lines which are energized at less than 750 valts.
8) If a sign is not installed within 60 daya after the date of isaue of this permit, the permit shall
be void. . .'
9) Insoections:

a) Site Insoection - to be made be fora the sign is placed. Usually, the Faotin. Insoection
. (if applicable) may be made at the same time as the Sica Inspection. lbe ~oot~ng inspec-
tion is to.be made after hole(s} 1s ~avateci, but prior to the placement of concrece.
b) Final Insoectian,- ta be made upon completion of all wark.
c) ~lactrical - all elactrical aigns must be inspected for alectrical hoak up aftar the sign
~s erectea and before the sign is turned on.
