I
A recent observation of the Tire Center lot. reveals the errection of six feet
high fence poles (Building Permit 1111850) on the property line abutting North
'A: Street, Springfield; Oregon. '
As you know, and according to the Springfield Zoning Code requirements for
through lots, the fence may be 6 feet high only if it is errected 10 feet from
the.property'line,
Regarding our recent conversations about the fence, I reemphasize that an appeal
mus,t be made to the Building Board of Appeals before fence height limitation
variances may be granted.
Please direct futher inquiries to the Springfield Building Division at 726-3753.

Action Taken: I spoke to Mr, Davidson by telephone and also visited him at his home.
The fence' construction in question has not begun as of this date. I explained
to Mr. Davidson that the prescriptive'easement conflict would be a civil matter
(as per Joe Leahy of the City Attorney's office). The City would follow up by
making sure the fence conformed to zoning and building codes.
