Dear Mr. Pruett:
At your request the Building Division of the City of Springfield made
a occupancy inspection on October 3, 1977 at the Quanset type structure
located at 2340 Main Street.
It was requested to change the occupancy from its present use, dwelling
unit I occupancy, to a saw shop F-2 occupancy.
This building'is located in Fire Zone, 2. An F-2 occupancy located in
Fire Zore2 shall be constructed with one hour fire walls on all exterior
walls. All openings in the exterior walls shall be fire rated assembl ies.
with certain exceptions to the front door opening on the sidewalk.
The electrical wiring in the building does not meet present codes.
The entire building would have to be rewired to meet these codes.
A complete set of drawings would have to be submitted to the Building
Division of the City of Springfield and approved showing how this
building was to be remodeled to meet all the requirements of an F-2
occupancy in Fire Zone 2, before applicable permits would be issued.

When'applicable permits are issued. all work shall be done in accordance
with applicable codes and inspected before a Certificate of Occupancy
will be issued.
