Per specification sheets, the paint booth is a prefabricated structure. Prior to final fire inspection, a flammable and combustible liquids operational permit shall be applied for by the occupant to Springfield Fire Marshals Office to store, handl. or use Class I Liquids in excess of 5 gallons in a building or 10 gallons outside a buildiug. Contact Linda DeLange at 726-2296 or Deputy Fire Marshal Joe Wicks at 726-2298 for permit information (2004 Springfield Fire Code 105.6.17). Prior to final fire inspection, a Spraying or Dipping operational permit shall be applied for by the occupant to the Springfield Fire Marshals Office to conduct spraying flammable and combustible liquids in a paint booth. Contact Linda DeLange at 726-2296 or Deputy Fire Marshal Joe Wicks at 726-2298 for permit iuformation (2004 Springfield Fire Code 105.6.42). A subcontractor shall submit plans and calculations for a fire suppression system for the paint spray booth to Developmental Services Department for review and approval by Springfield Fire Marshals Office (2004 Springfield Fire Code 901.2 and 1504.6). Use of the spray paint booth shall comply with Chapter 15 of the 2004 Springfield Fire Code, specifically Sections 1501 (General), 1502 (Definitions), 1503 (Protection of Operations) and 1504 (Spray Finishing).
